I’m MYKL.

There's a particular kind of creative professional who can't be pinned down by a single style or perspective, and that's actually my superpower.

Based in Cleveland, I bring something I think is genuinely rare to branding and design: the discipline to think strategically and the instinct to think like an artist. Most creatives lean hard one way or the other. The strategic ones can be stiff. The expressive ones can be unmoored. I've learned to live comfortably in the tension between the two, which is exactly where the best brand work happens.

Rather than showing up to every project with a signature style and fitting the client into it, I listen first, then discover how this particular idea wants to express itself. That takes patience and restraint, and I think it's what separates good work from work that actually means something.

In 2020 I made the leap to freelance, and honestly, it's where I've done the best work of my career. Going independent wasn't about escaping the agency world, it was about having full creative ownership and bringing that energy directly to the people I work with. Clients don't get someone executing a brief. They get someone with skin in the game.

I currently collaborate as Creative Director with both Sixth Element Creative and Alt Brand Agency working across branding, advertising, marketing and design. The range is intentional. Every project points toward its own visual direction, and I genuinely love the process of finding it.
